Napa Disc Golf Club

The club organizes different leagues and weekly events primarily segmented into “Upper” and “Lower” categories, based on the course or level of play. Events include the Thursday Weekly, Saturdubs Weekly, Saturday Weekly, and the special Thursday Glow League, each with a modest buy-in and different formats like handicap play and random pairings.

Seasonality

The schedule is thoughtfully arranged around the seasons:

• Spring to Summer: The Thursday Weekly (Upper) starts in mid-March, taking advantage of longer daylight hours, with games beginning at 5:00 PM and gradually moving to 5:30 PM as the days lengthen, before returning to 5:00 PM as summer ends. Concurrently, the Saturdubs Weekly offers a consistent 10:00 AM start, ideal for weekend mornings.

• Fall to Winter: Transitioning into the cooler months, the Thursday Glow League (Lower) introduces evening play at 7:00 PM starting in late September, then shifts to an earlier 5:00 PM slot as daylight decreases. This league incorporates glow-in-the-dark elements for night play, adding a unique twist as the days shorten. The Saturday Weekly (Upper) maintains a 10:00 AM time, offering a stable weekend morning option throughout the colder season.

• Year-Round Play: The Sunday Weekly (Lower) remains a constant, with a 9:00 AM start time throughout the year, ensuring that players have a regular opportunity for competition regardless of season.
